About Cyber Terrain Ontology Organization

The Cyber Terrain Ontology Organization and this website (cyberterrain.org) are focused on the formal representation of threat intelligence knowledge. Hohimer Intelligence Strategies LLC is dedicated to the stewardship the Cyber Terrain Ontology Organization to develop open ontologies and semantic web tools that bring rigor and interoperability to the cyber threat intelligence community.

Our Work

Our flagship project, STONES (STIX ONtology Expression System), formally models the STIX 2.1 specification as an OWL 2 ontology. STONES enables semantic reasoning, linked data publishing, and machine-readable threat intelligence that goes beyond the limitations of JSON-based STIX.

The STONEWORK project is an extension of the STONES ontology. The intension is to provide the CTI community with a fuller formal ontological language with which to communicate.

Stewardship

Hohimer Intelligence Strategies LLC is the steward of the STONES ontology. We are committed to maintaining STONES as a free, open, and community-accessible resource for the cyber threat intelligence community.
